WJTL 90.3 GENERAL CONTEST RULES

1. To be awarded a prize, the contestants must be the proper number caller, proper name drawn, the proper caller with the correct answer or a chosen contestant according to the specific contest rules.

2. There is no age limit for smaller prize contest winners but they must be a United States citizen to win. Participants may win only one (1) contest per family/household in a thirty (30) day period.

3. All materials submitted during a contest become the property of WJTL  and WJTL shall have the right to use any such material in connection with the given contest.

4. Any written and mail-in contests need to have all of your contact information included, so we can contact you or mail your prize in the case you are the winner.  (Name, Address and Phone Number)

5.Contestants must be 18 years of age or older and be a United States citizen to win major prizes valued at $500. or greater.

6. Contestants may play a total of two (2) times per contest.

7. Contestants and family members and household members of contestants who win a prize valued at $500 or greater will not be eligible to play or win another major prize valued at $500. or greater again for a two-year period from the date prize is awarded.  If you or someone in your family/household is the grand prize winner, please give other people a chance to play and win.

8. Winners are solely responsible for payment of all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and any other liabilities incurred.

9. WJTL FM90.3 reserves the right to serve as exclusive arbitrator in the instance of question or conflict with the rules, contestants, or other aspect of the contest.

10. The decisions of WJTL FM90.3 with regard to the awarding of the prizes and the interpretation of these rules shall be final. All persons competing in this contest shall be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these rules.

11. These rules may or may not be superceded by rules for a particular contest.

12. Further questions concerning contest rules should be directed to the General Manager or Program Director.

FAMILY FORCE FIVE BASSIST JOSHUA OLDS — KNOWN AS FATTY — HOSPITALIZED.

Fatty was admitted to an Illinois hospital Sunday night with vomiting and severe dehydration. He was transferred to another hospital and was admitted to the intensive care unit under the care of a kidney specialist. The band’s frontman and Fatty’s brother, Solomon Olds, known as “Soul Glow Activator,” is posting updates on his Twitter page. He says that his brother’s kidneys are failing and he will have to undergo three dialysis treatments. Solomon is asking fans to pray for Fatty and his family. He says Fatty is in good spirits, but his condition is very serious.  He is expected to have the second treatment today, Wednesday, December 2.

The Pennsylvania Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

People who need financial help to pay their energy bills this winter can begin applying for grants November 2, 2009.   The Pennsylvania Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is offering grants to help pay heating bills to families of four earning no more than $33,075.

PA DOH Unveils H1N1 Info Site

A new website is up and running by Pennsylvania’s Department of Health. PA residents can learn about the H1N1 flu virus (AKA swine flu).

The site contains information, links to other resources, and vaccine info will be added as soon as the info is available.

WJTL is auctioning off a Wii to benefit Compassion International!

This Father’s Day, WJTL wants to encourage you to take time to honor the man who takes out your trash, mows your lawn, takes care of your car, and dispenses your allowance.  He’s your coach and biggest fan, your bedtime story teller and personal corny joke machine!  Be sure you tell your Dad what you appreciate about him!  To help, we’ve put together a prize pack that you can win for your dad!

It includes:

WJTL and Walking in Holiness Ministries want to say thank you for your response to the need for radios in Honduras! There are 3 Christian radios stations there, but many people are too poor to own a radio to be able to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ! Because of your help, many people will now be able to tune into Christian radio! The radios and other supplies you donated are now on their way to Honduras! Check out these pictures! The container is filled with radios and a variety of medical supplies, clothes, educational materials, etc. Thanks again for your help!

Talent Challenge Winner

WJTL Presented with Two PAB Awards

In a ceremony May 4 at the Hotel Hershey WJTL received two awards from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters: Outstanding Program Designed for Children and Outstanding Radio Website.

Accepting for WJTL were Lisa Landis (Host of the Kids Cookie Break) and Ed Placencia (Video Production Director).

WJTL Talent Challenge ‘09

WJTL is looking for talented listeners for our Talent Challenge! If you sing, juggle, play an instrument or have a zany talent and can perform amazing and entertaining feats, we want YOU to enter! 10 contestants will be chosen to perform their talent on the Weaver’s Garage Stage at the Sertoma Chicken BBQ on Saturday, May 16th! Those in attendance will vote on their favorite performer–and that person or group will win a fabulous prize package! Individual performers and groups are welcome to enter!
